About "Creek"

We started building the Creek Time Machine series instruments for those in love with vintage guitars. We aim to offer a "brand new" vintage guitar, vintage in tone, feel, and look.

How do we do it? We have carefully examined and taken precise data of classic vintage models. Then we draw accurate blueprints and select only the finest materials. We are not trying to create a modern copy. Instead, our goal is to build a guitar with the look, feel, and sound of a true vintage classic with modern playability, and do it for as many players as possible.

Creek Guitars are light in weight, have accurate neck carves and the resonance and sonority of authentic vintage guitars.

For example, we use carefully selected torrefied wood for tops and braces on our CJFG, CSJ, and our new model, the CJEG. While torrified woods have been used to build musical instruments for some time, our experts' ability to do it in-house is one reason we started the Time Machine Series.

We use torrefied Sitka Spruce on our CJFG and CSJ models and torrified Adirondack on our CJEG. We source these tonewoods from the same suppliers top American luthiers use.

The neck and fingerboard will immediately feel comfortable and familiar to anyone who has had the enviable experience of playing a revered vintage instrument.

Our painting process is crucial to complete the vintage look and feel. Because paint on vintage guitars becomes hard, thin, and worn over time, we intentionally finish our instruments with hard and thin paint and artistically add a warm and worn patina.

All of it comes together to give you the unique sensation you feel when you hold and play a fine vintage guitar.

The Creek Guitars "Time Machine" series reflects our passions and knowledge accumulated by observing thousands of vintage guitars that have come through our hands. We are also planning to launch a new series with additional models. Please stay tuned.
